My mother is a worrier. She’s passed on this trait to me. Often, she’d bottle up her feelings that she’d take home from work and sometimes, it would affect her mood at home, as well as her sleep. There wasn’t something like sleep ASMR back then, but I wonder if these wonderful videos would have helped her back then.
Worrying is literally betting on yourself to lose. You question scenarios that might not (usually won’t) happen and expend enormous energy into these imaginary happenings, detaching you from the present moment and reality. ASMR is a great way to reattach, refocus and look at what’s causing the problem instead of turning the shadows into monsters.
