At the end of 2019, something crazy called COVID-19 happened. It’s hard to believe that even after all these years, it’s still wreaking havoc. What does it have to do with the question, “does ASMR make you sleep better?” I’m glad you asked.
As countries started locking down and people became confined in their own homes, mental health became the second, silent pandemic. A side effect that manifested itself as a result was poor sleep, or downright insomnia. Without a way to get a cure, people turned online.
Eventually word started getting around that ASMR was a great way of helping you sleep. It’s unclear if this is the case for everyone, but looking at the Google Trend, you can see that it has been on the up.

Looking on YouTube, the interest is even more explosive, with hundreds of sleep ASMR videos appearing over the worst years of the coronavirus pandemic (2021-2022).
Everyone’s got their own preference – you should discover what you like – but some YouTubers seem to really understand what sounds help people go to sleep. One of them is Gibi ASMR:
Comments like the one below (literally published 4 hours at the time of writing this blog post) are seen all over her videos.

So really, you’ve got nothing to lose by giving it a shot. Maybe sleep ASMR vids are going to finally help you settle your mind and get some much needed sleep.
