Isn’t it amazing how much of who we are is psychological? Like, we’re essentially a brain sitting in a machine made out of bones, muscles, electrical signals and blood. But we feel like so much more. Our mind can make us feel on top of the world or in the absolute pits. That’s where things like hypnosis and suggestion can help give some control over your mind.
It even extends to the realm of sleep. The old line in hypnosis is, “you’re getting very sleepy…” as the pendulum is waved in front of your face. The instruction could be anything, but it’s the giving of the instruction itself that’s key.
